I could finish the phrase "I'm a little.."
so many words..
I'm a little ... PREGNANT..
as I head into the 23rd week of this
pregnancy..I've just started
to feel our little bean move..
I've got to say it's AMAZING...
I'm a little...MINDLESS
as I realize that I've got a
block to finish...
It's like someone keeps cancelling my
actions as I walk into a room..
I'm a little...TIRED..
with this little bean starting
to move more..
I can't say I slept a
whole lot last night..
But I will say..
I'm a little...
I used my favorite batiks.
I think I maybe the Batik Queen..
I did stitch in the 'I'm a little.. '
wanted to do it in white
but..
did you know Walmart doesn't carry embroidery floss anymore?!?
& Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays??
I didn't want to drive all over town looking
for white embroidery floss..
so.. I had to settle for pink..
I want to thank Madam Samm and Marlene for hosting
these wonderful blog hops..
I'm very thankful for both of them..

playmate is on his way...
Happy Stitches..
I love the Batik you! Congratulations on the new addition to your family.
ReplyDeleteFun batiks makes your lady sparkle!
ReplyDeleteLove your batiks...what a perfect one you found for your hair! Great Job!
ReplyDeleteYou look good in batiks! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your batik lady. Great job! The instructor of the first hand applique class I took many years ago insisted we use all batiks because it's a little harder to hide your stitches. (Never finished that project by the way and have it listed in my UFO's page)... but anyway since then I have been hooked on batiks, love them!
ReplyDeleteOh Laura Ann, I love your lady, who will only resemble you for a very short time with your "yummy mummy" tummy. I wish you all the very best of health for the rest of your pregnancy, and hope you stay as positive and funny as you are now. And I love the fabric you've used for the hair too :-)
ReplyDeleteYour batik queen is awesome. I love her. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteAhhh batiks what a pleasure and congratulations on baby....a great celebration that you and he/she can look back on.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, I love it done in batiks!
ReplyDeleteShe looks good in batiks. Love the hair.
ReplyDeleteLove your batik lady! and congrats on the new baby.. Wish you a healthy bundle of joy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteI love batiks - you did a great job with this lady!
ReplyDeleteA "little" pregnant!? Congrats on the new playmate and thanks for sharing your batik lady with us. I love batiks!
ReplyDeleteLove the batiks. They are a beautiful touch, making a very cool lady!
ReplyDeleteI love batiks too and you can't go wrong using them. Lovely "you".
ReplyDeleteahhh yes she looks like she has a bit of a belly too....a little pregnant is a lovely miracle....hope you find more of your mind soon...it happens sweetie...
ReplyDeleteVery nice -- I love batiks, too! Congrats on your 'little' pregnancy; there is no greater joy! :)
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! I also love batiks! The fact that you are able to that while "a little pregnant" shows that you still have at least a little mind left! (They don't call it pregnancy brain for nothing!) Great job!
ReplyDelete:( that your Walmart doesn't carry floss anymore...Ours moved it to be on the shelf near the florals...strange location....as far away from the sewing department as possible. Your batiks are lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove your piece!! I do love your dress!! I am grammy to a pair of puppies just like yours. Good little dogs.
ReplyDeleteRosemary B here: OH HOW EXCITING! 23 weeks! Is this your first?
ReplyDeleteI pray that your pregnancy continues on a smooth and comfy path. So, you are going to have a June/July baby (too early to count here on the east coast, jeez I just rolled out of bed) I am very excited. I love your sweet adorable pups. they look good as gold and they love their mum!
Okay, I love batiks too. I am coveting and hoarding. I love the red you have there.... I want that. I saw it in a project at a quilt shop and they did not have anymore..... I have two other places I can hunt though.
I adore your creation, you can fix that hand sewing later if you are not happy with the pink, but it looks so marvelous. I hope you get some sleep tonight. I remember those days very very well, and I am old now and my daughters are in their mid 20's now.
yes... the batiks turned out lovely!
Thank you so much for sharing today. Now, be sure to have a nap later
Congratulations of the pending baby---so I can see why all those words would fit you well.
ReplyDeleteI was unhappy too when my Walmart stopped carrying floss a few years back---since I live close, embroider a lot, etc BUT perhaps there is hope?? Mine just started carrying it again! Perhaps yours will as well. Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays, just like Chic-Fil-A, because of the religious views of ownership but that doesn't help when you need floss. The pink works.
I love the batiks you chose as you love them and you said you are the batik queen so that really would represent YOU.... or your ME. Oh you know what I mean!
Best wishes with the baby and cute block
ReplyDeleteThe batiks make a beautiful YOU, pregnant and all!
ReplyDeleteWhat great choices of colors...love her red hair. Best wishes for you in the future. Pam

ReplyDeleteLaura Anne- Congratulations on your upcoming arrival. My niece is expecting a boy also, the first week of March, so my sister is flying to St. Louis this week to help her out. I love batiks as well. I made the Craftsy BOM 2012 with batiks with black and am adding to it, making it for an art teacher friend of mine who just bought a new house. I've been wanted to get him to learn to sew because he's such a talented painter, that I'm sure he's be a fantastic quilt/fabric designer. Best wishes to you and your "bundle of joy." Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your upcoming lil one. Oh how your life is so gonna change and all for the better. nce you hold that baby it has your heart forever. And those sweet lil smiles. ReplyDeleteI like your lady. I guess we are lucky here. Our walmart still has floss and patterns, material and yarn. Congratulations on the up coming addition.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job with the batiks. With some slight modifications (namely making her younger) she could actually look pregnant. Congrats, by the way! Babies are such fun! And they give you such a wonderful excuse for the mindlessness and tiredness! Play that card all you want!
ReplyDeleteI'm already following you. Liked your Lady!
ReplyDeletelove the batiks ... brings her into one of my fav fabric types and a little more modern to . Look after your self because soon it will be all about baby :) and family

ReplyDeleteI love you batiks. I can't get enough of them although I don't make as many things with them as I could. I spent many nights sleeping in a recliner when I was pregnant. It was the only way I could be comfortable.

ReplyDeleteOh what wonderful news! Thank you for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteYour batiks are beautiful I really appreciate everyone sharing their pieces this has been so much fun and I have found so many new fun sites Thank you and congratulations Becky
ReplyDeleteI love batiks! Love Love Love them. Yours look fabulous! Too bad you didn't have white floss. Congrats on your little bean! (Get used to a little tired, sigh).
ReplyDeleteI really, really like the fabric you picked for your hair. I don't think I've ever bought a batik. I think the only one I have is a fat quarter I won at a guild meeting. Seeing you use your lovely batiks is certainly making me see the great depth to batiks. I think I see some batiks in my future. I know folks who applique certainly like them. You are very blessed and it sounds as if your pregnancy is progressing great even though you are experiencing some of the normal discomforts. My two pregnancies and deliveries were each different. I was one of the fortunate or unfortunate gals who had very short labors. I was at the hospital less than 3 hours with my first one and less than 30 minutes with my second one and I didn't want to go when I did go with her. Glad the doctor was there and wanted to check me when he did. I hope you continue to participate in the blog hops and inspire us.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! great work!! and what a job to be having a baby...i was a OB nurse "once upon a time"....you will be in my thoughts and prayers....Blessings!!
